Human Writers, Human Editors and Source Reviewers
aussihospitals.org/ may use multiple writers and editors, but every page must follow the same editorial rules: verify directory facts, write for practical user tasks and avoid medical advice. This page explains how people contribute to the site.
Contributor Roles
| Role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Researcher | Finds official hospital, government, Healthdirect/NHSD, AIHW or regulator source pages. |
| Writer | Creates original, practical page copy around address, contact, appointment and visiting tasks. |
| Editor | Checks clarity, no-medical-advice boundaries, source quality and duplicate-intent handling. |
| Source reviewer | Re-checks high-risk fields such as phone numbers, addresses, emergency department wording and appointment routes. |
| Technical editor | Checks page import, mobile layout, schema/meta hygiene and broken links where possible. |
Byline Philosophy
For directory pages, accuracy depends less on one personality and more on the verification system. Our pages may be credited to the aussihospitals.org/ Editorial Team when multiple people handled research, writing and verification. Where an individual subject-matter reviewer contributes materially, the page may describe that role.
No Clinical Reviewer Claim
Because the site avoids diagnosis, treatments and disease guidance, our standard review is editorial and source verification, not medical review. If the site ever publishes clinical health content, it would need a separate medical-review workflow and author credentials.
