Advertising Policy
Advertising Cannot Buy Editorial Control
aussihospitals.org/ may use advertising or sponsorship to support free public access to hospital-directory pages. This policy explains the separation between revenue and editorial decisions.
Editorial Independence
- Advertisers cannot buy a positive description of a hospital.
- Advertisers cannot buy rankings, recommendations or ‘best hospital’ labels.
- Advertisers cannot block factual corrections.
- Advertisers cannot require us to remove emergency, privacy or no-medical-advice notices.
- Sponsored content, if ever used, must be clearly labelled and separated from editorial directory pages.
Allowed Advertising
| Type | Allowed? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Display ads | Yes | May appear through ad networks, subject to placement and policy controls. |
| Sponsored hospital listing | Only if clearly labelled | Cannot replace factual directory verification or become a hidden endorsement. |
| Medical treatment promotion | Restricted | We avoid unsafe or misleading medical claims and do not publish clinical recommendations. |
| Affiliate links | Limited | Must be disclosed and must not interfere with official hospital links. |
| Paid correction | No | Factual corrections are not paid placements. |
User Trust Comes First
Hospital pages are high-trust informational content. The user’s need to find the right official contact route, address or appointment page is more important than ad density or promotional wording. We design pages to keep official links and safety notices easy to find.
