What should I bring to a KEMH clinic appointment?
Bring your appointment letter, completed KEMH registration forms, relevant x-rays, ultrasounds or lab results, Medicare or concession cards, passport/visa/insurance details if no Medicare card, GP details, current medication list, aids such as glasses or hearing aids, immunisation records and a list of questions.
Where should I park at King Edward Memorial Hospital?
Bagot Road parking outside KEMH is only 30 minutes. KEMH recommends the patient/visitor carpark on Hensman Road or a City of Subiaco carpark for appointments or visits that may take longer. Read all signs and payment instructions before leaving your car.
Is KEMH free with Medicare?
If you are eligible for Medicare and treated as a public patient in a Western Australian public hospital, accommodation, surgery, medication and other in-hospital services are generally covered. Overseas visitors, overseas students and Medicare-ineligible patients may need to pay fees.
How can I get an interpreter at KEMH?
Call the Language Services Office on (08) 6458 2802 before your appointment. KEMH provides NAATI-accredited interpreters for non-English speaking patients and families, and for patients with hearing impairment.
How do I access my KEMH medical record?
Submit an Information Request Form with photo identification to FOI.KEMH@health.wa.gov.au or post it to Freedom of Information, KEMH PO Box 134, Subiaco WA 6904. Personal information requests have no fee and are normally processed within 30 days.
